All tracks are first take improvisations by Steve Hillman recorded in 1981. These are ideas that could have spawned full blown pieces but instead have laid dormant in the archive for coming up to 40 years. Due to the age and nature of the recordings there are tape drop outs and the occasional glitch, etc.

Steve Hillman: Yamaha CS30L synth, electric guitar, percussion. 1981 also saw the addition of a Casiotone 301 keyboard and Soundmaster SR88 Drum Machine.

Track 8 is the original improvisation of “In Times Past” that would be later reworked for inclusion on 1985’s “Evocations” album.

Linda Hillman improvised flute on “Majinor Moon Rise”.

In 1981 I was beginning to formulate ideas which would later form the basis of my debut album “From Distant Shores” in 1983.

This would be a great soundtrack to the Voyager 1 space probe as it travels past enormous planets and stars towards....where? Track begins with a low, bass hum that builds into a a beautiful choir of sound and ends up as classic 70s 80s electronic journey..so sad it's only 1 track, although over 20 minutes...if you like Berlin-School this is a must have!.
